Two Research Positions in Semiconductor Quantum Photonic Devices
Applications are invited for two positions at Toshiba Research Europe Ltd to work on quantum photonic devices and their application to quantum information technology.
The first position is in R&D of novel quantum light sources and quantum memory based on individual quantum dots in semiconductor cavities. Candidates should hold a PhD in Physics, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline and demonstrated outstanding achievement in experimental semiconductor optoelectronics or quantum optics.
The second position concerns the design and fabrication of novel semiconductor photonic devices. Experience of relevant clean room techniques, such as fabrication and characterization of semiconductor devices and process development would be an advantage.
TREL is sited on the Cambridge Science Park. Work is carried out in collaboration with the University of Cambridge and Toshiba’s R&D Center in Japan, as well as several European universities.
An attractive salary and benefit package will be offered.
Applicants should send a CV, contact details of three referees and a covering letter, indicating for which post they apply, to:
