London, UK – 21st January 2008 - Toshiba Information Systems (UK) Ltd, Mobile Communications Division, today announced the Portégé G710, a smartphone built for the demanding business user and prosumer that need fast and easy access to mobile email. Its slender, stylish design and built-in GPS function makes the G710 perfect for those who want reassurance of getting from A to B in time. The Portégé G710 will be available across Europe in the first quarter of 2008.
The Portégé G710 has a full QWERTY keypad making responding to emails quick, easy and efficient and being completely compatible with Microsoft Exchange server, the G710 offers push email access and the facility to open and edit attached documents sent. Everything you need to stay connected to the office whilst on the move can be found inside the Portégé G710, with its support for Windows Mobile 6 as well as SMS, MMS and Instant Messaging for the messaging enthusiast. The G710 also features the very efficient and easy to use trackball pointing system.
The G710’s slim and stylish design gives it an understated elegance, yet despite being light in weight it still offers an impressive standby time of up to 200 hours and up to 180 minutes of talk time*. Additionally, it has a 2.0 mega pixel camera and a large TFT screen boasting 65K colours in order to display crystal clear pictures and maps. Furthermore, the built-in GPS function on the G710 clearly maps out directions and points of interests, perfect for time starved travellers trying to find their way around a new city or town.
As well as the usual functions you’d expect from a high quality smartphone, the G710 offers an MP3 player as well as Windows Media Player for listening to music and watching videos for entertainment whilst on the move.
