The Toshiba Fellow, once appointed, remains a Fellow for life!
Every year, all previous Toshiba Fellows are invited to a reunion dinner meeting taking place in London. Top executives of Toshiba in Japan also attend, and so past Fellows can continue their association with Toshiba long after they have completed their research post. They can also meet up with other Alumni members to reminisce on their time spent in Japan and to network with one another.
The Toshiba Fellowship Award allows scientists to gain valuable commercial experience, opening up more career opportunities once the placement is over. Many past Fellows follow on from their taste of commercial life to return to academia, taking up high positions in leading universities. Other Fellows may proceed to governmental or further industrial work, and all Fellows enjoy a successful career, building on the foundations of their work at Toshiba's labs.
The Toshiba Fellowship Alumni members are very important to Toshiba and the company endeavours to maintain the close relationship held during the Fellow's time with Toshiba in Japan. |
