We respect every individual and value the benefits that diversity can bring. We also strive to create a safe and healthy working environment. To allow our employees to maximise their full potential, we provide various development opportunities and training as well as encouraging them to manage their own self-development.

Human Rights and Diversity

Toshiba respects individuals and values diversity. We strive to eliminate discrimination on the grounds of race, religion, sex, nationality, disability and age. As a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact, Toshiba strives to ensure compliance with internationally recognised principles concerning human rights and labour.

European Activities

Our Management Innovation (MI) initiative is operating globally to improve efficiency in all aspects of our work. In Europe, regular MI training not only helps us improve our work processes but provides a networking opportunity for staff from different product divisions.

The Pan European Management Programme (PEMP) also encourages individuals to network and pays particular attention to the cultural differences that exist across Toshiba. Toshiba's European Forum (TEFOR) is an annual meeting between Toshiba senior management and locally elected staff representatives. Their task is to ask questions on company activities at both a corporate and local level, and feed back major issues to their colleagues in the European operating companies.
